I did some digging into the story since it was part of discussion in one of my teaching certification classes. It was a student project. They even made a Youtube video to go along with it. There is a project called "Every 15 Minutes" that works with schools to make mock ups of DUI accidents in front of schools. During classes a character in a grim reaper costume comes in an sonorously declares a student in the class has died of a DUI and his obituary is read. the student organizers thought this was hokey and removed the reaper and just said the students died. There was an assembly and stuff planned but teens started madly IM texting each other. A teacher stepped in to calm people this was part of a lesson on DUIs and it all went a bit awry. The Local PTA had zero filed complaints as of yesterday. Soo... what's all that mean? Kinda makes you think, huh?
